Prof. Dr. Peng Liu, Professor and Doctor of Engineering at Guangzhou Maritime University, is a distinguished academic and researcher specializing in intelligent transportation, big data, artificial intelligence, and autonomous driving. He graduated from Tongji University with a major in Transportation Planning and Management and currently serves as a Master’s Supervisor at Guangdong University of Technology. In addition to his academic role, he contributes as an Outdoor Consulting Expert for the Guangdong Provincial Government, Science and Technology Evaluation Expert of Guangdong Province, Evaluation Expert at Guangzhou Public Resource Trading Center, and Comprehensive Evaluation Database Expert of Guangdong Province. Over his career, he has led and participated in more than 30 research projects, including 10 national and provincial initiatives, and has published over 40 scholarly works, among them 23 papers indexed in SCI, EI, and core journals, along with five academic monographs. His notable contribution, the policy report Suggestions on Promoting the Integrated Development of Multi-level Rail Transit in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, was officially adopted by the Guangdong Provincial Government and later advanced to the Counselor’s Office of the State Council of China, influencing major transportation policy decisions and promoting high-level collaborations between provincial and national transport authorities.
