Assoc. Prof. Dr. Artur Serafin, a distinguished scholar in environmental sciences, graduated with a degree in environmental protection from the Agricultural University of Lublin (1995) with a diploma for outstanding academic achievements. He earned his doctorate in agricultural sciences in horticulture, specializing in applied ecology, from the University of Life Sciences in Lublin (2004), and his postdoctoral degree in engineering and technical sciences, specializing in environmental engineering, mining, and energy, from the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences (2019). His research focuses on lake productivity under anthropogenic pressure, peat bog dynamics, and nature-based solutions such as natural swimming ponds with regenerative macrophytes and mineral filtration systems.
